Mrs. Christine Wachira

Mrs. Christine Wachira is a Lead and Internal Auditor, a Certified Enterprise Risk Governance Expert (CERG) with strong risk management, internal audit, and compliance experience, and is also certified in corporate governance by the Center for Corporate Governance (CCG) Kenya. Mrs. Wachira joined Ambulex as part of the Board of Advisors in the capacity of the Chair of the Board. She is an Entrepreneurial HR Business Owner, a Certified HR Practitioner, and a Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) the UK and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) the USA.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations and Marketing from the United States International University and is currently completing a Masters in Human Resource Management at Kenyatta University. She is a seasoned Human Resource Expert with 20 years’ experience in strategic HR having worked with Safaricom Limited Kenya for 15 years in very senior leadership roles. She is also serving the Government of Kenya as a Board Member at The Capital Markets Authority of Kenya (CMA) and has previously held Chairperson Roles in the HR and Communications Committee and the ICT Ad Hoc Committee. She has also served in the Audit Corporate Governance Compliance and Risk Management Committee and is currently serving in the Technical & Policy Committee and the Finance & Planning Committee. She is also a Board Member at the Fahari Heights Management Company Limited.
